Marwaan has a very unique approach and ability, as well as deep insight into people’s behaviour and what makes them tick. His approach is to understand the reason behind each individuals behaviour as he believes to inspire and motivate change in others you need to speak to their reason and not your own, nor should you speak to their behaviour alone. So his approach is to understand their fears and desires and build from that. I wish I could do what he does in terms of understanding people on such a deep and profound level but I guess that’s why I see him as gifted in what he does. I have never experienced someone that is so intuitively aligned to understanding others. So when it comes to managing a team, with so much diversity, not only in culture and background, but in their personality too, it can be quite overwhelming and draining.
With his help, the task at hand has become so much easier. As you talk to each person’s reasons and in that way guide them to be the best they can be, to not only benefitting themselves but also the business as a whole. My level of emotional intelligence towards my team and employees has improved tremendously. Simply because I can see where others are coming from. His knowledge and insight has allowed me to predict an individuals behaviour when addressing sensitive issues I may have encountered with certain staff. This has allowed me to prepare in the best possible way when addressing any staff related issues with my team.
With his understanding of business and its people, this has also allowed me to progress faster, make decisions with much more insight and conviction. The result is me being much more confident, when it comes to my management style, my team and the business as a whole. His insight into leadership and what makes a great leader has been invaluable. I have improved in many aspects in terms of leadership. Though the aspect which I feel has improved the most is the manner in which I communicate to my team.
